It is the responsibility of the customer to be sure they are dialing into a local phone number when connecting to the internet. Check with your local telephone provider for calling areas that are charged as long distance for your city if you aren't sure. If the number your dialing on the telephone is charged as long distance, it will be long distance internet as well.
